Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant

Dozens of contestants across the state are getting ready for a big day tomorrow. The Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant is tomorrow at Thornton Academy. The pageant is a fundraiser for Crossroads.. A non-profit organization supporting Maine youth. The money raised from the pageant is given in scholarships to Maine students. This is all part of an international competition that's putting a new twist on pageantry. Shannon Folsom from Saco is the first and only national and international pageant winner from Maine. She's here now to talk about this program.
