Details: Please join the Maine Iris Society at our 36th Annual Median Iris and Spring Flower Show. Admission is free. Starting at 1pm there will be a Plant Sale in which you can purchase median irises and perennials. These Maine grown plants will be very hardy and will adapt quickly to your garden environment. Come see displays of median irises that are being judged during the event as well as spring flowers and arrangements. We look forward to seeing you. The Maine Iris Society is a non-profit group that is made up of people of all ages who are interested in irises. Our interests range from those who just like to look at irises to those who hybridize and or raise them for show or competition. Our goal is to maintain up to date good quality irises in Maine and the surrounding areas. We accomplish this by giving away irises at our meetings, holding two iris shows a year and every other year three so the public can see what irises look like. We also hold three auctions a year so the public can have access to good irises at reasonable prices. Our meetings, shows and auctions are open to the public and anyone can join the Maine Iris Society at those times. Our dues are eight dollars a year, ten dollars a year for two people living at the same address and twelve dollars a year for three people living at the same address. Our events are listed on our webpage. Meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of the month. The Maine Iris Society is affiliated with the American Iris Society.
