I see a few posters have it spot-on, breasts have been sexualised by mainstream society, there are actually a lot of places (although out of the way) like in africa, south america, asia where men & women are still bare breasted because there is no reason to cover up! The rest of the world have turned breasts into something sexual and so...FORBIDDEN IN PUBLIC!!

To the people who say it's not decent: you know, for a lot of people (most of them are muslims, but not all), the hair is not decent and a woman must cover her head...

Too much feminism will lead to women having no rights at all. Feminists should be glad to be women and not always try to "live up" to being as good as, or as smart as, or as fairly treated as a man. Both sexes are special and important. Will these feminists not rest 'til they have more rights than men? I believe that may already be the case anyway. Men and women are not the same and that's the way it should be. Why do some feel they need to prove something to society about being female? To me, I believe it makes women look silly, stupid, and foolish. This kind of activism is going to make a lawless society...especially for us women. I am a woman and I am glad to be one. Life isn't always fair for either gender. Let's act like adults here. I have never suffered yet for not being able to walk around freely without a shirt on.

Of course they are total hipocrits in that they say it wasn't a parade and were upset that men watched. Give me a break. As someone else already pointed out, men's chests are sexy too :)

Anyone having a problem with seeing any part of the human body, male or female, is sick in the head. We're ALL basically the same. The idea of nudity being offensive shows a pretty messed up mind set - either from the cancer that is religion or some other societal rubbish. Get over it. Naked is how we all arrive. Surely they have pointed out the flaws in their own argument. If men walked down the street topless, they would not be concerned abuot being photographed. The fact that these women are concerned clearly demonstrates that they do not believe what they are protesting about: that men and women being topless is the same thing. I see no one talking about the fact that there were children present. And men are visual creatures like it or not there is this little chemical reaction when they see women breast that turns them on, so of course they are going to look, gawk, take pictures, etc. You show them they are going to look. My mom and dad had seven children and they did not treat any of us the same because we all have different personalities and respond differently to situations. (I was the rebellious daughter so they had a tight leash on me, while the youngest is a complete angel and she has free reign) With that being said, men and women will not and should not be treated the same because they are different. Our brains process information differently.

The only shocking thing about the protest was the organizer's fake outrage at the men (and women - but she deliberately didn't mention the women) who turned up to look and take photos. The ladies in the protest were attractive, and worth turning up to look at. I think the protesters would have been genuinely upset if nobody turned up, and they marched down an empty street.

I don't get why women can't go topless. The only reason we require they be covered is because we give them sexual connotations, even though they play no part in sexual reproduction. Most European countries that many people consider just as good of a country as the US, or even better have no problem letting women go topless.
