Melania Turgelsky, Community Counseling Center

By News 13

Melania Turgelsky, director of special projects for the Community Counseling Center in Portland, is in the studio to talk to Erin about bullying in schools.

With the rising popularity of social networking sites like Facebook, bullying is becoming more pervasive, as children aren't safe from it even in their own homes.

Turgelsky talks about warning signs parents and teachers should look for when they think a child may be suffering from bullying.

Poll

Do you think Portland's mayor should continue to be selected by the city council, or should voters get to choose their own mayor?

  • The system should stay the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  • Voters should get to decide. The city council has too much power as it is.
