From MyFox National Reports

A bear in Colorado wandered into a skate park and ended up trapped at the bottom of the sunken concrete park. But officials were able to rescue it by placing a ladder and waiting for the bear to climb out.

The one of a kind scene played out in Snowmass, Colo., on Tuesday. Authorities say the bear got stuck because it was unable to climb the steep concrete sides of the skate park.

In order to get the bear out of the skate park, workers from the Parks and Recreation Department conducted a little experiment. They placed a long ladder into the skate park and then sat back, watched and waited. Eventually the bear figured out how to use the ladder and climbed to freedom.

Police officers say the bear wandered away and has not been seen since.

The Associated Press reported that bear sightings have been common this summer in the Colorado mountains. Authorities are pressing residents not to leave out food or trash that attract bears.
